At Least I'm Well Rested...

Image
This morning I slept in...on accident. I believe this is commonly referred to as "oversleeping". I overslept by about two hours. Woops ! I only live about 20 minutes from where I work , but since I use public transportation, it takes about twice that long. And I didn't even get any knitting done. Last night I did finish this hat though! Pattern: Marley Hat from Itty , Bitty Hats by Susan Anderson Yarn: Tahki Cotton Classic in a variety of colors Began: October 24 th , 2007 Finished: October 28, 2007 This is intended for one of two twin-boys a co-worker knows. So, yes...that does mean I need to knit another one! Speaking of baby hats, I've been knitting a lot of these lately. You can see some of the baby hats I have knit at the Itty Bitty Hats Knitalong . In the last two years, there have been six babies born to co-workers, and one more on the way. There must be something in the water here, which is why I think I will stick with pop (or soda for those of you not fr

Oh Yeah, I Know How to Pick 'Em

The last few weeks, my football picks have been less-than-stellar. I'd dropped down to 4th place among my co-workers, from a high of 1st place after the first week. This week, I didn't even bother to print off my picks and bring them home with me. It's been too sad keeping track at home of my losses. So, imagine my surprise this morning when I logged in and saw...I picked 11 of 12 games on Sunday correctly! My only mistake was trusting that my hometeam, the Vikings, wouldn't let me down. I should give Scott some credit...he convinced me that maybe Miami was not the upset I wanted to pick. One more game tonight: Denver v. Green Bay. I'm going with the Packers right now, but there's still time to change my pick. In knitting news, here's the details on Dad's Sweater, as well as a picture of the back. Pattern: Rhapsody in Tweed by Kathy Zimmerman, Interweave Knits Fall 2004 Yarn: Tahki Donegal Tweed in Gray Tweed Started: February 25, 2007 Finished: October

I have entered the blogosphere!

Well, after thinking about starting a blog for several years now, I've finally done it. Bear with me as I get the hang of it. This will mostly be a knitting blog...which I guess means I'll need to knit a lot. No problem there. Why the name, "Knitting in Transit"? Because "Knitting on the Bus" was taken. I'm sure this is only being read by family and friends, and you all know I don't own a car and get around to and fro on the bus. Where I do a lot of knitting. Expect that I may also regale you with my tales of riding the bus. Well, I can't very well have a knitting blog without a picture of something I knit, so here you go. My latest FO...Dad's Sweater. More about this later.
