Decisions, Decisions

While in Ireland, I bought 4 skeins of this. Now I need to decide what to do with it.

According to the information on Ravelry, 4 skeins is approximately 1400 yards.

I've got two patterns I am mulling over. The first is the February Lady Sweater. I heard this mentioned on the brief bit of Lime & Violet podcast I listened too and then found it on Ravelry. I love it! I've looked over the pattern and I should have plenty of yarn. Looks like a fun project and I like cardigans. I think it's lovely.

The other idea I have is for Green Day, a little sweater vest. Looks pretty cute. Yarn supply would not be an issue at all. I could make one for my sister too! Then we'd look like twins. Wait! We ARE twins!

There is also Talia. I'm not so sure about this, but it is a possibility. I just don't really care for the horizontal garter stitch or whatever it is around the middle.

Any thoughts from those of you out there? Or do you have other suggestions entirely?

In the end, I couldn't resist the pull of thousands of suited Republicans in St. Paul and D and I headed downtown last night to check things out. Actually, that's a lie. What compelled me down there was my support of St. Paul business. The Pioneer Press reported yesterday on how dismal business was for some of the restaurants and shops around the convention. I Need a New Word for "Perfect"

I just spent what can only be described as quite possibly one of the most perfect weekends of my life, thus far. I'm racking my brain trying to think of a weekend that has felt more "right" and I just can't. I think this was one of those rare life moments where everything comes together to create contentment. A perfect blend of good food, friendly strangers, physical and mental activity, and a person to travel with that makes you happy. David and I spent the weekend in Lanesboro, MN and thereabouts. We loaded up our bikes, and in my case, way too much other stuff and headed out of town. How is it that I can pack so light for a 10 day trip to Ireland, but when I head 2 hours south, I pack as though I am leaving home for an indefinite period of time?
