I really enjoyed this article, but mostly for the comments. A British woman writes about some of the stereotypes you see on American television, wondering what is real. The comments are great - all these people from other countries talking about all things like those cups you get at parties for your beer, Twinkies, Chinese food, and more. All sorts of things that seem so normal to us, but I guess they aren't. At least not in England. Apparently, they don't have Twinkies there.
I have entered the blogosphere!
Well, after thinking about starting a blog for several years now, I've finally done it. Bear with me as I get the hang of it. This will mostly be a knitting blog...which I guess means I'll need to knit a lot. No problem there. Why the name, "Knitting in Transit"? Because "Knitting on the Bus" was taken. I'm sure this is only being read by family and friends, and you all know I don't own a car and get around to and fro on the bus. Where I do a lot of knitting. Expect that I may also regale you with my tales of riding the bus. Well, I can't very well have a knitting blog without a picture of something I knit, so here you go. My latest FO...Dad's Sweater. More about this later.
