It's A Girl!

Just found out my brother and his wife will be having a baby girl! They have one girl and two boys, and I'm so excited for them to even out the count! Yay!

There's been a flurry of boy babies lately. I'm so so so excited to knit something for a little girl baby. There are some great girly hats in Itty Bitty Knits I haven't tried yet and I've been wanting to try Elizabeth Zimmerman's Baby Surprise jacket. It's a classic after all.

And for anyone keeping track, I believe this will be my 18th niece/nephew.

I can't wait to see your rendition of the BSJ. I've seen so many beautiful versions. Congratulations to your brother!

Congrats to your brother.

I know so many babies on the way at the moment - but they are all "surprises". I am finding that the things I thought would look gender neutral, end up looking a little more feminine than I planned.
You are lucky you can make something that is clearly girly. :)

The BSJ has been on my list to make for a long time. I can't wait to see yours.

Congrats to your brother and sister-in-law! I've got a baby girl and a baby niece, and just about every time I turn around I'm finding another absolutely beautiful pattern I want to knit for the both of them. My poor son gets the short shrift sometimes... :-)

By the way, I'm so jealous of you--18 nieces and nephews? I have one niece, the daughter of my brother (the older twin) and his wife. His younger twin and wife have declared they don't want kids, and my husband's sister and husband haven't talked about it at all. I want lots of nieces and nephews, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. :-)
