A Couple Finished Projects

Saturday morning, I went with Gigi and the Little Guy to Creative Kidstuff for an art class. 10 toddlers and paint. Each kid got a real canvas to paint on and all sorts of fun objects to use to make a painting. I think the Little Guy's work turned out wonderful.

And for your viewing pleasure, the Lombard Street Socks.

Pattern: Lombard Street Socks by Susan Lawrence
Yarn: Pagewood Farm Chugiak Hand Dyed Sock Yarn
Started: February 14th Finished:March 7th

I loved this pattern. It wasn't one though that I was able to memorize. I really had to keep track of where I was and found myself knitting backwards several times because of not paying attention. The socks are lovely though.

If I could knit with this yarn all the time, I would be one happy knitter. I loved just about everything about it (I found two knots in it...aaaargh). And the color. Wow. Why have I waited so long to knit red socks?

Last night I cast on for rpm by Aija Goto. This is the project I will work on while in Ireland. I am using some Lorna's Laces sock trial organic sock yarn in sort of a rainbow colorway. I bought if from Jimmy Bean's Wool...doesn't look like they have it anymore.

That's the news from my little corner of the world. Most likely the next time you hear from me I'll be in another corner of the world.
