The Rest of Day Two in Dublin

Well, I think we pretty well walked from one end of Dublin to the other today. Definitely worked off the Irish breakfast and Guinness. Another long day has come to a close, and I am tired but happy. Dublin has been wonderful. It was a beautiful day. I love the pubs. And it is east to spot the Americans because they wear stuff like this.

Back home, everything is brown and dirty white snow. Here in Dublin, flowers are in bloom. This is at St. Stephan's Green.

The Guinness Storehouse is very well done. Word of advice - go early in the day. When we left about 3 p.m., the line to get in was down the block. The first thing you see when you walk in is what appears to be a large sandbox, but is actually a bunch of barley. Then you pass the hops. Next up is the water, and to make that point they have a waterfall. It's all pretty cool.

Tonight, we ate at a place called Sufi, and I had the pomegranate chicken, which was tangy and quite good. Then we headed over to the Duke Pub to begin the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl. It was a lot of fun, except at the end when an obnoxious drunk guy (no, it was not Bob) seemed to threaten one of our guides with bodily harm. He's in this picture...now why would you want to hurt such a nice guy?

We ended the evening back at the hotel where we toasted my friend Lori with Irish Whiskey, Irish Cream, and Guinness. It is her birthday today.

Tomorrow we head to our cottage in County Tipperary. I don't know what the, internet situation will be there, but I will try to blog.

Before I go, here's one last photo. The Hairy Lemon?

I love how the woman in the green fuzzy cowboy hat is giving you the hairy eyeball. ;)
I'm so jealous of your Guinness drinking! Sigh.

Hi thanks for your kind comments about the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl. I can't even remember what that crazy guy looked like. All I know is that he was not to be trifled with. COLM - the actor in pic.
