That's a Bummer

Well, I broke my camera. I dropped it Friday...twice. Now it won't do a thing. It's just a useless hunk of metal.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be getting a new camera for at least a few weeks. So, I can't show you pictures from the fun I had this weekend at Timmy's birthday party, or the fun I had at my dad/step-mom/niece/family friend's birthday party, or the fun at the Saint Paul Saint's game over the weekend, or how cute the little guy was last night when I visited, or the progress on my knitting.

As such, blog posts may be relatively light for the next few weeks.

In better news, my new Harmony Wood Size Zero arrived over the weekend from Knitpicks, so I can get started again on the Synesthesia sock and finish that up! Yay!

In the end, I couldn't resist the pull of thousands of suited Republicans in St. Paul and D and I headed downtown last night to check things out. Actually, that's a lie. What compelled me down there was my support of St. Paul business. The Pioneer Press reported yesterday on how dismal business was for some of the restaurants and shops around the convention. I Need a New Word for "Perfect"

I just spent what can only be described as quite possibly one of the most perfect weekends of my life, thus far. I'm racking my brain trying to think of a weekend that has felt more "right" and I just can't. I think this was one of those rare life moments where everything comes together to create contentment. A perfect blend of good food, friendly strangers, physical and mental activity, and a person to travel with that makes you happy. David and I spent the weekend in Lanesboro, MN and thereabouts. We loaded up our bikes, and in my case, way too much other stuff and headed out of town. How is it that I can pack so light for a 10 day trip to Ireland, but when I head 2 hours south, I pack as though I am leaving home for an indefinite period of time?
